would like to Welcome Carly as a new mod for Milkfree, and she will be in charge of all things Gluten Free! Carly is a Coeliac and has years of experience of gluten free life, combined with experience of supporting Milkfree family members (Her Mum, my Aunt) and a diabetic Daughter and Husband. So brings a wide range of experience to the site, and takes Milkfree back a step to being a family run site again!

We are sorry if you have been trying to access the site and found it closed down. This was due to some technical diffculties the owner was having, most have now been sorted so the site should be ok. We at Milkfree are always striving to ensure that this site is the best it could possibly be and with that in mind, we are pleased to announce that there will be a number of changes over the coming months which are designed to make the site a little more user-friendly and up-to-date.

We can already unveil the first of these changes - that we are soon to be changing our domain name to Milkfree.info as this better reflects the service we provide. Please ensure you update your bookmarks and follow any redirection pages that you see.

More changes will follow as they are finalised and we hope this will make your navigation of the site easier in future.

Soya Lecithin Alert

Dairy Crest is withdrawing from sale a limited number of tubs of its 2kg Vitalite spread because of the labels say that the product is "Soya Free" when it contains a small amount of soya lecithin.

Sainsbury's Milk Allergy Alert

Sainsbury's Italian tomato and basil pasta sauce 390g Best Before Feb 2009 (Ambient line only - located in the foods of the world isle. Chilled varieties are unaffected)

These are being recalled as a small number of packs have been filled with a product that contains cheese. If anyone has any at home and are concerned, please return them to the store for a full refund.

Tesco Plain Chocolate Products

Tesco have taken the precautionary measure of withdrawing certain codes of 5 Tesco plain chocolate products. These products may contain traces of milk and, as a result, are not suitable for persons allergic to milk.

We are taking the precautionary measure of recalling our own label Sausage Pasta Bake. As a result of a labelling error the milk allergen within this product has been omitted from the list of allergens printed on the pack.

Those allergy sufferers who may be affected should not consume this product but return it to us for a full refund.

NO OTHER MORRISONS PRODUCTS ARE AFFECTED.
